TODAY IS THE DAY!
I (and my friends) have been working hard to bring you the Bee Haven Project Hop this week. It’s a fun event that we are throwing to celebrate the launch of my first fabric line!
If you’re following along on Instagram, make sure to follow all of the designers and tag friends for extra entries to win BIG at the end of the week (more details below). BUT FIRST, let me introduce you to my friends and my fabrics:
The Fabric
Before I can really share my excitement about the projects, I’ve got to share the excitement about my fabrics!
Bee Haven was created with you in mind! Not only are there sentimental butterflies and bumbling
bees to enjoy looking at, but there is oh-so-soft cotton to enjoy snuggling. Why so soft? Because this fabric is 100% unbleached cotton. A small step in a more sustainable direction for the quilting industry. Along with this comes the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certification. This assures you that these fabrics are certified non-toxic. You can learn more about the line, see the prints, and find a store near you by using the button below!
The Projects
I know that you’re totally here for the projects, so without further ado, I give you my designer friends and all of their quilty goodness:
First up is Twister by Lisa Ruble (Quilty Zest). I absolutely adore the movement that these blocks create.
The best part? These are BIG ‘ol blocks, so they come together quickly to create your quilt center!
Diamond Lil by Kaye Collins (Oh Kaye Quilting) is right up my alley! I love the use of her long and unconventional borders…I REALLY want to see how this looks on a nice long twin-sized bed. I think it’s a stunner!
Bee Maze by Tiffany Hayes (Needle in a Hayes Stack) is the perfect way to show off the main print in my Bee Haven line! It’s also a nice way to use those prints that you just don’t want to cut down!
This adorable Flip & Stitch pattern is yours for free when you sign up for Kaye Collins’ newsletter…it’s a really cutie!
Centrum is an existing pattern by Jennifer Worthen (Slightly Biased Quilts) that is a real stunner when you mash it up with Bee Haven! I love the simplicity of it AND it works with 10×10 precuts…what’s not to love!?
Check out these notebook covers from Kaye Collins (she’s prolific!). She’s giving away one of these this week as part of the Project Hop – make sure to enter to win, because these are just way too precious to pass up!
Slaphappy is one of my newest patterns and I’m offering the baby version to you for FREE! You can upgrade to a more detailed pattern and extra sizes (baby, throw, twin, queen, and king) in the paid version if you’d like.
And if FREE couldn’t get any better, I think it just did! I’m also offering a free bonus tutorial on creating a quilt block from your Slaphappy scraps.
Join in the Fun!
