Now, don’t be afraid at the thought of paper piecing! I made sure that this pattern is beginner-friendly. A small project like this placemat is a great place to learn paper piecing because it’s not a huge commitment. If you get through one placemat and don’t love the technique, bind it, and use it on a dresser or nightstand—if you love paper piecing, then go crazy and make a set for your whole table!
