Learn FPP Basics
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, that’s OK! In this on-demand workshop, I’ll show you the basics and just how Traditional Foundation Paper Piecing works. It’s a great skill to have in your “quilter’s tool box” and will help you soar when we get to our section on the No-Tear FPP Method.
Learn the No-Tear FPP Method
Sometimes known as the Freezer Paper method, this type of Foundation Paper Piecing is exactly what it sounds like: with the addition of Freezer Paper, this technique becomes all at once more accurate (if you even thought that was possible!) and far less painful! No. More. Tearing. Papers.
Create a Postcard Quilt
In this workshop, we won’t just be learning Foundation Paper Piecing basics AND mastering the No-Tear Foundation Paper Piecing method but while we are at it, we’ll be making this ADORABLE Postcard Quilt.
I’ll show you how to finish off this cutie, and give a few tips on how to successfully get it through the mail (yes, you can actually send these in the mail!).
…at the end of the day you’re not just learning a new skill, but THEN you get to flaunt those skills to the person at the post office and your BFF who totally deserves a little happy mail.
I’ll Be With You
The best part of class is the scariest part! Those teeny precise seams? Oh yeah- we’ll go there. But don’t worry, you can watch me do it as many times as you want (hello rewind button!).
I wanted to do my best to make this virtual class feel like an in-person workshop. So, despite the fact that you can work on this class at any hour of the day or night, rewind, and pause – I’ve included real-time footage of me sewing the postcard quilt…so it’ll be just like we are sewing together! I’ve got a lovely music playlist going for you during our sewing time so that you can really enjoy our time together!
