Wood Stain that is safe during pregnancy

This DIY tutorial shows you how to stain furniture with no harmful chemicals like stain. Coconut oil rehydrates and invigorates the wood back to its original beauty!

It’s finally here—what I’ve been searching for for the past 4 months of pregnancy—a wood stain that is safe during pregnancy! Well, it’s not actually a stain, but has the same effect. You might not even believe me when I tell you that I’m talking about coconut oil. That’s right! Rubbing coconut oil onto dried out or aged wood will change it so dramatically that you’ll think I’m lying. But when you try it for yourself, you’ll be giddy and scouring your home for something else to try it on! (Continue reading…)

A great DIY update for your cabinets! Try this tutorial the explains how to cover the inside of your cabinets with fabric!

Today is a short and sweet tutorial on how to add fabric to the inside of your cabinets, bookshelves, or other boring storage units! This all started when I got free cabinet doors and frames for my laundry room and had to build the box. I figured it all out pretty well, and using 3/4″ plywood, I made myself some pretty great cabinets! So, I moved on to plan B and decided to cover up the plywood interiors with something lovely! And what is more lovely than fabric?! If you’d like to learn how to add fabric to your furniture, be sure to follow the tutorial below! (Continue reading…)

San Xavier Del Bac

As you may know, I recently took a cross country train trip with my Husband, Steven in June. I can’t wait to tell you about the whole trip, but today I wanted to show you one of the most inspiring places that we visited along the way! We went to Mission San Xavier Del Bac in Tucson Arizona. There was lots of inspiration to be had on the entire trip, but this was an especially magical place. With painted stucco and Native-American inspired designs, I found a way to bear the heat and really soak in the beauty of this place. (Continue reading…)

baby bike announcement

The announcements are out, the family has been called, and I’m finally allowed to share our big news with the world! I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but the Rossi family is getting a sweet addition January 3. That’s right—I’m pregnant with our first child!

I can’t tell you how surreal it is to be typing those words right now. I honestly never thought that it would happen to me (just like I never thought I would turn 6, go to highschool, make it to and through college, or get married)! But here we are, and despite our stunned silence, it’s 100% true. There’s even a growing belly to prove it. (Continue reading…)
