If you remember, a few months ago, I tested a pattern for Wardrobe By Me called the Sneha Tunic. I have totally fallen in love with this pattern and made more tops just like my first one! It’s perfect for a comfy maternity knit top that will grow with you and still look fabulous. The top fit so well, that when I was looking for the perfect maternity dress for my baby shower and maternity photos, I decided to hack the Sneha pattern and use the top portion for a dress of my own design. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas this weekend! Today I won’t be posting anything more than Christmas wishes—I think it’s healthy to take a break and really savor the time we have with our family and friends during this time. So, count this as your sign to put down the phone or close your laptop and go spend time with the ones you love—all we have is today, so enjoy it while today is still called today!

Entering into the Christmas season along with this new season of life seems so appropriate, and I’m starting to wonder if maybe God is trying to teach me something in His perfect timing. Today is pattern release day! I’ve been sitting on pins and needles waiting to share this one with you guys—I think I’ve really thought of a new idea here, a quilt that you can use in the baby’s crib, that’s right—the Grow With Me quilt is a combination of a quilt and fitted sheet for standard size crib mattresses. When baby graduates to a big kid bed, it can easily be turned into a great snuggly child-sized quilt. My amazing pattern testers are just as razzed up about this pattern as I am, so let’s get to sharing, shall we?! (Continue reading…)

Today, I’m excited to present you with a tutorial that’s been in the works for a while: my very own Raw Edge Appliqué Tutorial! That’s right—a full, step by step tutorial on how to achieve a lovely little raw edge appliqué. This is the only type of appliqué that I use in my patterns, so you’ll always be able to check back here when you have a question on one of my patterns. If you’re an appliqué lover and want to see those patterns, be sure to check them out in my shop, or take a look at the photos below: (Continue reading…)
