I’ve been teasing you on Instagram and Facebook about these volunteer projects and I’m finally ready for the big reveal! This is a project that I did for a 5th–6th grade classroom at my church. Not only am I going to show you what we did, but also how you can use similar ideas in your classroom or even in your home!

It’s feeling like a DIY day! Today we are going to look at how to recreate this awesome wall, created by yours truly for another volunteer classroom project at my church! We wanted to go with a really industrial feel for the high schoolers’ space…keeping it gender neutral and visually interesting. It’s really quite simple once you know the process, so here we go!
It’s official! We have moved out of our first apartment. It’s so bittersweet—we are absolutely in love with the Wheaton area and our great community of friends. But we are thrilled to be closer to our growing families. We aren’t quite sure the exact location of our second place, so for now we are staying in southern New Jersey with my in-laws. I’m getting some much needed time off from working, and Steven is picking up my slack and working full time. After leaving, I realized that I never gave you the full tour! So here it is: our first place.

What. A. Month. I’m not going to lie- I’m glad to be moving onto June! May consisted of finishing up projects with my Chicago clients, packing & planning for our big move, and crawling/falling into bed every night! Despite the business, we made time for some really fun things as well, I’d love to fill you in!
