About This Fabric Line

In the heart of every garden, there’s a story quietly growing.
Bushel & Bloom invites you to wander through rows of root vegetables, rustling bean poles, and blossoms just beginning to unfurl. There’s a charm to the everyday tools that tend these spaces—well-worn shovels, a sturdy shed, watering cans lined up and ready for the next rain shower. Each print celebrates the playful rhythm of planting, tending, and gathering…a reminder that simple moments often yield the sweetest harvests.
Printed on unbleached cotton, this fabric honors the natural world it depicts. By skipping the bleaching process, we save tens of thousands of gallons of water—making each yard a small act of care for our planet. OEKO TEX 100 certified and sustainably produced, this line is as gentle on the earth as it is on your imagination.
Patterns & Accessories
I have created two new patterns just for this collection and gave fresh life to some existing patterns with these new fabrics! Check them out below along with my coordinating Edge to Edge design, Doodle Star. Click each image for more information:

Mortar & Moss
Who doesn’t love a great panel!? This project will come together in a snap with a wonky brick border to let the panel tell the story.
This pattern also has a free pattern for the Baby Size, which just includes the panel center and the wonky border. You can upgrade to the paid version for a larger size and all of those appliqué details!
Please note that the Mortar & Moss pattern is offered in two versions: One is a free download and includes the baby size only. The paid version provides an additional size and appliqué instructions.
Class ideas
Create a beginner-friendly class! This quilt whips up in a breeze!
- Teach new quilters the wonky border and let them feel at ease with this simple “not too perfect” technique
- Show them how to get nice flat borders (especially easy with the way we’re creating this one!)
- Let them dip their toe into appliqué, giving them the option to expand the quilt with a follow up class!

Alotta Terracotta
This sweet little FPP quilt is sure to have your gardening friends green with envy!
Simple blocks to create each pot show off the textures in the Terra Nova prints and let simple details like sneaky snails and bobbling buds tell the story.
Class ideas
Create an intro to FPP class!
- Instruct students on how to create the pot blocks first, they will have lots of chances to practice on these repeating blocks!
- After mastering the most simple blocks, show them how to manage the more difficult pieces, such as the sprout, snail, and flower.
- If they want more techniques, show them how to fussy cut those borders and miter them!

Bun in the Sun
This simple wide brimmed visor will protect your face from the sun while letting your messy bun fly free!
Choose a favorite fabric for the top of the brim and a coordinating fabric for a pop under the brim.
Class ideas
This class is great for late winter when everyone is just looking forward to spring!
- Teach them how to cut out a garment pattern (super simple here, but the same ideas apply)
- Do a simple quilting stitch on the brim using Soft-n-Stable
- Teach them how to get the perfect bow (don’t worry- full instructions are included in the pattern!)

Potting Table
One of my MVP BOMs is returning this year with NEW fabrics and colors!
This 12 month pattern bundle will guide you through 4 new techniques:
-Foundation paper piecing
-Curved Piecing
-Turned Edge Appliqué
-Bias Tape Appliqué
Beginning with simple blocks and working our way up, this pattern will keep experienced quilters on their toes and newbies learning something new every month!
Class ideas
Start with a kickoff week where everyone comes in, learns about what supplies will be needed, and gets to know each other!
- After that, plan a meeting once a month. Every 3 months there is a new skill, the following 2 months locks those skills in with increasing degrees of difficulty.
- The rythm of 1 new skill + 2 months of practice will set a nice pace for the year

First Blush
This pattern is one of my very first releases, now back and better than ever with it’s makeover in the Bushel & Bloom collection!
Class ideas
Perfect for beginning sewists and winter blues!
- Teach basic cutting skills with very few pieces required
- Basic construction techniques will get their gears turning on how things go together!
