Working from home doesn’t exactly encourage one to dress up…in fact, some days when I hear the doorbell ring, I may or may not answer depending on the state of my sweatpants and t-shirt. Needless to say, I’m on the hunt for an outfit that is cozy, pretty, and acceptable to wear at home or on a few errands. Well, my friends, I’ve found it! The Sneha Tunic by Wardrobe By Me is the answer to my prayers. You can dress it up, and paint on those Jeggings, or dress it down—take a look!
I initially wanted to make a super-fancy tunic with this pattern, but on my shopping trip decided that this would fit the cute and cozy bill quite nicely, so I chose to make two different styles of the same shirt. The first is my Terry Cloth version. This is so comfy and takes about 15–20 minutes to make! I simply cut out the scoop neck version of the pattern, stitched all of the seams and skipped the neckline, bottom hem, and sleeve hems. I love the way terrycloth rolls on the edges, and it did just that!
I think this would be an adorable swimsuit coverup for those chilly beach nights! It serves double duty with a pair of leggings for the fall or winter months!
I’m still working on my second version—it will be fit for date night or even church! To be completely honest, I already started this one, but I realized after I had it sewn together that my fabric wasn’t stretchy enough (that’s what I get for not listening to the designer specifications!). My solution: Cut the bottom off (because the fabric is super amazing) and sew a new (knit) top. Voila! It’s going to be even cuter than it would have been in a single fabric! I’ll be sure to update you with those images when it’s all finished!
This pattern is fantastic, and I love that it’s a PDF, meaning you can get it INSTANTLY and get started on your project right away! Be sure to pick one up at Wardrobe By Me. See the chart for all your fabric requirements. I’d love to see your versions of this shirt and hear what you thought about it! Make sure to leave a photo in the comments below.
