About This Fabric Line
In the quiet of winter, the forest tells its own story.
There’s a hush that settles among the evergreens, where deer tread softly and owls keep watch from bare branches. Squirrels dart through the underbrush, red-capped mushrooms peek through the snow, and the world seems to pause, inviting us to listen, to wonder. This collection captures the stillness and secret magic of wintertime woods, told in a palette of woodland red, twilight blue, pine green, and cozy off-white.
Printed on unbleached cotton, this fabric honors the natural world it depicts. By skipping the bleaching process, we save tens of thousands of gallons of water—making each yard a small act of care for our planet. OEKO TEX 100 certified and sustainably produced, this line is as gentle on the earth as it is on your imagination.

Merry Mixer – Free Baby Pattern!
Merry Mixer is a quick and easy quilt pattern that shows off all of your favorite fabrics in a simple, yet dynamic design.
This pattern will be offered as a free pattern for the Baby Size. You can upgrade to the paid version for a more detailed pattern and all sizes including baby/wall, toddler, twin, queen, and king sizes.
Please note that the Merry Mixer pattern is offered in two versions: One is a free download and includes the baby size only. The paid version provides baby, throw, twin, queen, and king-size instructions and comes as an instant download or hard copy.
Class ideas
Create a beginner-friendly class! This quilt whips up in a breeze!
- Teach new quilters the beauty of simple strip piecing
- Introduce the idea of nesting seams
- Guide them through squaring up blocks
- Show students how to get nice, flat borders
Near & Deer
This peaceful quilt creates a whimsical scene of a doe (or fawn!) gazing across a wintry forest of birch trees. The Cardinals in the background provide a pop of color and illuminate the story!
Class ideas
Create an appliqué class for more adventurous quilters
- Instruct students on how to use strip piecing to create their trees
- Come alongside students as they work on tracing and transferring these large appliqué pieces
- Introduce techniques using larger threads for a *pop* on their appliqué work
- Give detailed guidance on how to navigate smaller appliqué work, such as the bird faces
Oh, Tannenbaum!
This winty mix quilt combines midcentury-modern shapes with nature and makes great use of my Shorthand Template set to create winter quilt that isn’t too Christmas-y.

Class ideas
Create a curvy class that all quilters are sure to enjoy!
- Split this into 3 class sessions:
- Session 1: Introduce the Shorthand Template Set and my glue-basting method for perfect curves every time!
- Homework: Create all the Triangle Blocks
- Session 2: Create the Star Block together, as getting those seams to line up can feel intimidating!
- Homework: Piece the Blocks together to create the top
- Session 3 (optional): Embellish with Big Stitch Quilting!
Understory

Join me as we create this whimical mushroom quilt in the summer of 2026.
Class ideas
Create a space for customers to come in and work on their project, one month at a time!
- Host a kick-off class that introduces participants to curves
- Encourage them to stay and sew their “bit” each month – these monthly sections are larger than a standard BOM program, so you can open up your studio for multiple days to get return visits!
- Include background music or snacks to really help them settle in
- Join my Sew Along this July! I am opening up a Facebook group for anyone sewing the Understory quilt this summer – regardless of where they purchase their patterns from! Make sure that you and your customers join in the fun for great inspiration, prizes, and encouragement!
