Now, if you’re using gorgeous gradient or ombre fabrics (like what I’m using from Jennifer Sampou’s collection, Sky) there’s a few tips and tricks that I have for you before you get started (see my post on how to work with gradients here). If you’re just going with prints or solids, you don’t have to worry about much!
It feels like FOREVER since I’ve released a pattern…it’s actually not true, but Ancient Words feels like a pattern release from a century ago!
Twas a few weeks before Christmas and I didn’t know what to do! My friend was a tea drinker, but this I already knew:

We all know that I’m totally obsessed with Amy Friend’s By Hand collection. I used it in my Bloctopus quilt and jumped at the chance when my friends over at Benartex asked if I’d be interested in using it again.
I was asked to create a small project that showed off Amy’s beautiful work, and I really couldn’t resist using the whole spectrum of fabrics. I’m a sucker for ROYGBV and these fabrics just flow so nicely into each other.

Today I’ve got a quick tutorial for you that I think you’ll enjoy! This is helpful for many projects, like my Quilter’s Planner cover! I’ve finished my cover (keep scrolling for a sneak peek), and am planning on creating an amazing cover pattern for 2020!
This year I decided that New Year’s Resolutions just don’t do it for me. I fail by February and then I give up. So this year, inspired by a talk I recently heard by Meg Cox, I chose to pick a word.

Today is the day! I’m so very excited to share another new pattern with you. I’m especially excited about this one not only because I love the simple design, but because of the great success and beautiful quilts that came out of the pre-release testing!
