(Continue reading…)Timber! has always been my best seller. There’s no wonder- it’s super duper cute. I’m excited to announce that it has also caught the attention of the staff over at Simply Moderne Magazine (eep!).

Now, if you’re using gorgeous gradient or ombre fabrics (like what I’m using from Jennifer Sampou’s collection, Sky) there’s a few tips and tricks that I have for you before you get started (see my post on how to work with gradients here). If you’re just going with prints or solids, you don’t have to worry about much!

Twas a few weeks before Christmas and I didn’t know what to do! My friend was a tea drinker, but this I already knew:
She’s got teacups and teabags, stirrers galore—I’ve already bought her the entire tea-drinking-store!
Well, let me tell you:
Tea to go is the stocking stuffer you’ve been looking for.
We all know that I’m totally obsessed with Amy Friend’s By Hand collection. I used it in my Bloctopus quilt and jumped at the chance when my friends over at Benartex asked if I’d be interested in using it again.
I was asked to create a small project that showed off Amy’s beautiful work, and I really couldn’t resist using the whole spectrum of fabrics. I’m a sucker for ROYGBV and these fabrics just flow so nicely into each other.
(Continue reading…)As you may have noticed, I have a love for all things old-fashioned, feel-goody, and thoughtful. So, there was no way that I was going to let February 7th pass me by this year. Are YOU prepared?
Today I’ve got a quick tutorial for you that I think you’ll enjoy! This is helpful for many projects, like my Quilter’s Planner cover! I’ve finished my cover (keep scrolling for a sneak peek), and am planning on creating an amazing cover pattern for 2020!
This year I decided that New Year’s Resolutions just don’t do it for me. I fail by February and then I give up. So this year, inspired by a talk I recently heard by Meg Cox, I chose to pick a word.
One word. For the whole year.
I chose Balance…but that’s all I’m going to say for now! I’ll be giving you the whole scoop as the year goes on… (Continue reading…)
Isn’t it just the best when there’s a pattern that you can use in more than one way!?
I discovered the beauty of this with my Squared Fashion Wrap, originally created for the chilly winter months. I then realized with a different fabric, it’s perfect for a beach cover up!
…but enough about that, it’s chilly for now, so let’s focus on the bitter cold blast that’s coming our way. (Continue reading…)
Have you even been holding a quilt or have it draped across your lap and think hmmm…this would be a pretty dress!
I certainly have. So, today I’m going to do act on that thought…
Today is the day! I’m so very excited to share another new pattern with you. I’m especially excited about this one not only because I love the simple design, but because of the great success and beautiful quilts that came out of the pre-release testing!
I really think you’re going to enjoy the endless possibilities of my newest pattern, Hypersonic. It involves a little bit of cutting, but this quilt comes together quickly and the results are stunning. No matter what size you choose— baby, throw, or twin sizes, you’ll love this quilt. Take a look and let me know what you think! (Continue reading…)
Today I am so excited to share my latest pattern release with you! There’s no better description of my blog recently than “the calm before the storm.” Things have been pretty quiet around the here on the front end of things lately, which is not normal for me. But behind the scenes, I’ve been madly sewing, designing, testing, and prepping! Bloctopus is one of THREE patterns that will be releasing in the next month along with a few exciting guest appearances by me on other platforms (I’ll be sure to share these all with you so you don’t miss a thing!).
