Hi there! I wanted to drop in today with a quick little tutorial (a few, actually!) on different approaches to bias tape appliqué. But first, maybe a little introduction is in order…
Bias is sometimes a scary word to quilters, but it doesn’t have to be! In this post I want to give you some good resources on cutting bias tape and using a bias tape maker. I hope to be adding videos as I create them, so if you have a new bias question, be sure to check back soon!

Anyone else sick of hearing about masks?
Me too.
It’s OK.
Anyone who has sewn them knows that it’s more stressful that you thought it was going to be.
I repeat, it’s OK.
The mask-making fury continues across the country, and despite the controversy about what works and what doesn’t I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s great!
Today I want to share a video tutorial with you on how to make your own surgical mask. There’s probably about 10,000 out there right now, but this is my take! I like the style of this mask because it doesn’t pull on your ears like many that I’m seeing. To each his own though, if you have a pattern or tutorial that you like better, please use it!
