If you remember, a few months ago, I tested a pattern for Wardrobe By Me called the Sneha Tunic. I have totally fallen in love with this pattern and made more tops just like my first one! It’s perfect for a comfy maternity knit top that will grow with you and still look fabulous. The top fit so well, that when I was looking for the perfect maternity dress for my baby shower and maternity photos, I decided to hack the Sneha pattern and use the top portion for a dress of my own design. Today is pattern release day! I’ve been sitting on pins and needles waiting to share this one with you guys—I think I’ve really thought of a new idea here, a quilt that you can use in the baby’s crib, that’s right—the Grow With Me quilt is a combination of a quilt and fitted sheet for standard size crib mattresses. When baby graduates to a big kid bed, it can easily be turned into a great snuggly child-sized quilt. Growing up, Christmas morning had a certain routine…a slow, relaxed, and perfectly wonderful routine. The morning always started with unpacking our drooping stockings—filled with lots of candy, fun little gifts, and of course; an orange in the toe!
Stockings are one of those things that really represent the Christmas season to me—it wouldn’t be complete without them! Although my family doesn’t have the beautifully knit stockings that we had growing up (hand made by my grandmother), we’ve got some pretty sweet stockings that I whipped up myself from fabric! With our little girl making her arrival right around the holiday season, I wanted to make sure that she had her own stocking, just incase she decides to show up early. (Continue reading…)

Trim is so hard to come by. Unless you’ve got a secret fabric shop that sells amazing trims, the struggle is real! Finding the perfect ruffled trim is sometimes impossible. Your options are often too shiny, too large, too…just not right! Well, fear no more! Today, I’m going to show you how to make your own ruffle with flat ribbon.
