My favorite part of every Block of the Month program isn’t just seeing your beautiful blocks come together—it’s celebrating your progress along the way.
When you join the Understory Block of the Month, you’ll be creating a whimsical woodland quilt filled with ferns, fungi, and forest-floor magic over the course of nine months. But that’s not all.
Some patterns never really leave your heart.
When I first designed Oh, Tannenbaum, I wanted to create a quilt that captured the feeling of winter evergreens without feeling tied to a single holiday.
Some quilt designs arrive after months of sketching, revising, and second-guessing.
And then there are the rare ones that seem to walk out of your imagination and onto paper exactly as you pictured them.
Near & Deer was one of those quilts.
Today is the day!
I’m so excited to finally share the patterns and projects created for my newest fabric collection, Winter Haven. This collection has been living in my head (and sketchbooks…and fabric swatches…and piles of quilt blocks 😅) for such a long time, and seeing it all come together feels a little surreal. Inspired by quiet winter woods,
woodland creatures, snowy mushrooms, and cozy evergreen forests, this line was designed to capture the peaceful magic of winter without feeling overly “holiday.”
There’s something about winter that makes the world feel softer and quieter. The crunch of snow under your boots. Bare branches against a dusky sky. Tiny pops of red berries and cardinals in an otherwise sleepy landscape. That’s the feeling I wanted to bring into this collection.

Twas a few weeks before Christmas and I didn’t know what to do! My friend was a tea drinker, but this I already knew:

As you may have noticed, I have a love for all things old-fashioned, feel-goody, and thoughtful. So, there was no way that I was going to let February 7th pass me by this year. Are YOU prepared?
We recently got a ***brand new*** Hobby Lobby nearby.
My sister and I used to drive at least 45 minutes with 3 littles in the back seat to get there.
Now we just stroll right on over whenever we get the chance…let’s just say it’s a game changer.
So, as I was strolling through my friendly neighborhood Hobby Lobby, I noticed the overwhelming amount of Christmas decorations made of PomPoms…I’m talking ornaments, trees, garlands, pillows…you name it!
But the prices were OUTRAGEOUS. So, I carted myself and my little crafty baby over to the kids section and started throwing PomPoms in my cart. (Continue reading…)
